Brian Kim

Clinical Educator Fellow

Dr. Brian Kim is a current fellow in the General Internal Medicine program at UBC. Prior to moving to BC, he lived in the heart of downtown Toronto completing his undergraduate studies and medical training at the University of Toronto.

In his clinical work, he is passionate about the comprehensive care of complex patients with multi-system chronic disease including cancer, as well as working with trainees in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Through the Clinical Educator Fellowship, he is looking forward to build on his previous work supporting learners in difficulty and promoting physician wellness through peer support/mentorship. He is currently pursuing MHPE studies through Maastricht University and is interested in identifying systemic factors contributing to imposter syndrome, and designing tools to improve learners’ clinical decision making and communication skills.

Outside of medicine, Brian enjoys his time cooking and trying new cuisines, swimming, running, learning new languages, singing, and experiencing all that BC has to offer!
