Sara Shahram, BSc., MD, CCFP

Clinical Educator Fellow

Dr. Sara Shahram grew up in Langley, BC, and completed her Elementary and Secondary School in French Immersion and then went on to complete her Bachelor’s of Science degree at UBC in Physiology and Evolutionary Ecology with double major in Ancient Art and Architecture. She completed her Undergraduate Medical Degree at St. George’s University and finished her clinical rotations in various areas of the United States and Canada. She was accepted to the Family Medicine Residency Program at Dalhousie University, and chose to be placed at the Moncton, New Brunswick Site, a bilingual city.

Sara has always been interested in education; from her early years of being a tutor in high school, to now becoming a Preceptor for Medical Students and Residents. She holds a Site Co-Lead position for Assessment and Evaluation in the Postgraduate Family Medicine Program and was more recently appointed as VFMP Communications/Clinical Skills Director. As for her research endeavours, she is most interested in ways to foster resilience in the learners.

Sara is very excited to be a part of the CHES community and is looking forward to contributing more to medical education. For her down time, she loves to spend quality time with family and catch up with friends.
